I visited this place for a birthday celebration and dinner. The interior is beautiful, dimly lit, and has an upscale vibe. Despite the Long wait for our food, my party tried a variety of dishes, and everyone enjoyed their meals without complaints. I ended my dinner with crème brüleé, which was the perfect ending to a great night out. Pros: Nicely decorated Good food Upscale vibe Cons: Bigger portion sizes Slow service/
Last night my boyfriend and I had an absolutely delicious dinner at Limoncello. The food was tasty, portions were huge and the service was great. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. For drinks we had the limoncello martini, limoncello blush, a glass of moscato and a lemon drop martini. Their complimentary bread with garlic olive oil was delicious. For appetizers we had the frito misto (fried calamari and shrimp) and the soup of the day the lobster bisque which was perfect for the absolutely frigid weather. For our pasta course we had the bucatini cacio and pepe which came in a crispy parmesan basket - yum! For my entree I had the chicken parmesan with pasta and my boyfriend had the whole branzino fish with spinach and potatoes - both were absolutely amazing and giant! For dessert we enjoyed the zeppola fritta (italian cinnamon sugar donut with ice cream) which was so yummy! We would highly recommend having a meal here and we cannot wait to go back.
Limoncello is a great spot for an important occasion, with an upscale and elegant atmosphere. The food is quite decent too (highly recommend their Fritto Misto). The wait staff was very attentive and made great wine, food & dessert recommendations. The manager visited our table as well to ask about our experience. Overall, had a great dinner here!
I was really impressed with the interior designing as soon as I walked in. From the front door and front entrance to the ceiling, above where we were seated at the booth, this place was beautiful. Their drinks are amazing. I have heard that the limoncello at this place is their specialty, so I had to try it. I got the limencello blush, which blew me away! I love how pleasant it was to drink this drink. It almost felt like a Mocktail, but the limencello added a great touch. The mirtili mojito and desert pear margerita were also fan favorites by my friends! I don't think you can go wrong with any drink you try here. I would say the food was fantastic. One of the best Italian places in Baltimore. I was especially surprised at the saccheti di pera (vegetarian). I thought the pear would make it sweet but it added just the subtle amount of sweetness that it didn't overpower the dish. We also got the spicy rigatoni vodka and they were able to put the crispy speck on the side so that we could have a vegetarian dish. I did wish the portion sizes were a little bigger for the price we paid, but the food was so good, we finished all of it. Our waiter was really good at giving his honest recommendations on some of the desserts. We were curious about the limencello tiramisu and he told he we'd like it if we wanted something more on the sweeter side. We opted for his recommendation, the zeppola fritta which was amazing! Reminded me of a churro! The texture of the doughnut was amazing. Will be coming back for more Limencello !!
As many times as I've been here I can't believe I've never written a review. I LOVE Limoncello. I want to eat here for all occasions. I may not always agree with portion size, but I've never had one bad meal here. Limoncello itself is beautiful, dark and moody in places, bright and open near the bar and patio. It's grown and sexy, perfect for date night or girls night out/brunch. It's always been a good experience eating here, start to finish. The servers are top notch, have specials down pat and recommendations at the ready. Though I feel they could be more forthcoming about portion size, lol. Overall, excellent restaurant, and I shall keep returning for as long as I can.
My coworkers and I stopped by Limoncello for a quick happy hour. We walked through the dining area on our way to the bar, and the interior was absolutely beautiful. The bar area has a unique U-shaped design that leads to a balcony-like setting with a partial view of the harbor--such a lovely atmosphere. For HH, the Limoncello Martini did not disappoint--it was delicious! They have several drinks featuring their signature limoncello, and I definitely plan to return to try more. We decided to share the Fritto Misto appetizer, which paired perfectly with my drink. It included crispy calamari, shrimp (with the option of head-on or off--I chose head-off), and octopus, served with two flavorful dipping sauces. Everything was cooked just right, not overdone. My coworkers went for simple drinks: Tito's with club soda and a tequila-based cocktail (the name escapes me), and they were both happy with their choices. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to coming back!
My partner & I came to Limoncello in August (late post) to celebrate our anniversary! She picked the spot and it looked good to me! We Ubered over and were ushered to our table as soon as we walked in. Check this out, when I called to tell them we'd be a bit late, the woman on the phone told me our reservation was an hour earlier. Doh! How did that happen? However, she was sweet and told me not to worry, they would have a table for us. Life saver. Once seated our server came over to greet us and it was on from there. Limoncello martinis for everybody! My partner had the Limoncello Blush. The drinks were okay. I really wanted the Limoncello martini to be better, but everybody has different tastes. It was okay. But let me tell you about the Frito Misto! Its an appetizer (anti pasti) and was delicious! OMG, the head on shrimp were so good! Included cute little brown, paperbag cone are: head-on shrimp, crispy calamari, and octopus. If you've read any of my reviews you know I LOVE octopus. This app did not disappoint! And the sauce..... a perfect pairing. I could have had two of these and called it a day! YUM! My partner got the Mozarella D.O.P. It's basically an extravagant caprese salad. It was light and tasty. THE MAIN EVENT: Lets take about the Orecchiette! I didn't like it at all... Ha! I cleaned the plate, it was addictive. I couldn't stop eating it. It gave me comfort food vibes. The crumble-fennel sausage is what gets you. There's something different about fennel. You can taste it whenever its in a dish and it adds the 'umph' that takes any recipe over the top. I would come grab more of that to eat at home! It's good. My partner had the Linguine Sette Pesci. Those scallops were huge! That dish had a bit of everything that she loves. She was raving over that dish. We like to try different restaurants and this one did not disappoint. Give it a try.
We started my friends birthday off here and it was amazing! The atmosphere was perfect... we were sitting in the back patio. We all had some drinks, I got an espresso martini and it was delicious!!! They brought over a slice of cake with a sparkler on it!
